Zombies!

Via Peter Suderman over at The American Scene, a wonderful article from The Skeptical Enquirer debunking various tropes from the history of monster myths.

Greatest bits are definitely the chart plotting the exponential rise of vampire populations, and the completely un-fun explanation of how one might go about creating a 'zombie' using the neurotoxin from puffer fish.

Happy Halloween, everyone! I'm off to the Nuggets season opener (Go Powder Blues!), so more when I get back.

Well to debunk a pair of their debunking, who says a vampire has to kill every month to feed? More than one vampire could share a victim or keep the same victim month to month and just not drain him completely.

For zombies, see http://www.cracked.com/article_15643_5-scientific-reasons-zombie-apocalypse-could-actually-happen.html for a completely scientific explaination for zombie apocalypse in our near future.

I received "The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead" for my birthday. I'd be happy to share some tips with you on surviving the coming zombie apocalypse.
